About Us:
HISTORY: York Hospital in Wells has been serving the health care needs of the community since opening in 2000. At that time, the campus consisted of one building (called Wells Regional Medical Community) that housed a walk-in urgent care service, lab, x-ray, ultrasound, mammography, oncology, and some physician offices (gynecology, orthopaedics). Over time, the needs of the community led to an expansion of the campus. In 2005, cardiology joined the service mix and the site's name changed to Wells Regional Medical Services.
In 2006, another building was added to the site (the Wells MOB), and with it came more services - physical & occupational therapy, wound healing and hyperbaric medicine and OB/GYN. In 2011, this building saw a renovation of the second floor to add Pediatrics, expanded Breast Care services and an office for Diabetes Associates of York Hospital. Additionally, Urology Associates of York Hospital also joined the service mix offered on the campus.
